Meet Our Leadership
Dave is a Connecticut native: He was born in Western Connecticut, attended the US Coast Guard Academy and served two tours in the Coast Guard--all in Connecticut! Dave studied at Westminster Theological Seminary and Gordon Conwell before returning to Connecticut in 2015 to serve at Shoreline. He met his wife Erin during his Academy days. They have two children, Gia and Killian. Dave and Erin believe that New England is a ripe mission field and are excited to be proclaiming the word, building the church, and serving Eastern Connecticut with Shoreline.
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Jordan attended Cedarville University. After graduating from college, Jordan desired to go into missions overseas; however, God brought him to Connecticut in 2010 instead, where he currently works at Electric Boat as an engineer. Jordan moved to New England with the same passion to share the gospel as he would have had overseas and has been part of the church since it started as a Bible study in 2010. Jordan’s passion is for outreach; he has found that running, cycling, and triathlon training have led to great ministry and disciple making opportunities. He even met his wife, Jessica, through these activities. They were married in 2013 and have three children: James, Novweye, and Ezekiel. They currently reside in Waterford and host one of Shoreline’s Bible studies.
Matt is a proud Connecticut local! Having been raised in Mystic, he went on to receive his bachelors in Nursing at UCONN- where he was also very involved with campus ministry as a part of Campus Crusade for Christ. After graduation in 2009, Matt took up work at L+M hospital in New London, where he felt specifically called to continue to grow the roots that the Lord had already established in Southeastern CT. He was a member of the very first men's bible study which, years later by God's good grace, has become Shoreline Community Bible Church. Matt and His wife Jules have been married since 2013 and have two beautiful girls; Ella and Ainsley. They enjoy exotic coffees, cycling, singing and spending time being silly together with their daughters.
Mike hails from the Chicago area, where he grew up, and along with several others, he attended Cedarville University and moved out to New London to work as an engineer at Electric Boat. While his degree and profession are in mechanical engineering, God has increasingly grown a desire and passion within Mike to serve in church ministry. This was continually fostered by pastors and leaders at Mike’s home church in the Chicago area and at Shoreline’s sending church, Trinity Baptist in New Haven, where godly men invested time, energy and care to mentor Mike, as well as many others in Shoreline. And more than anyone else, Mike attributes his passion for Jesus Christ and for ministry to his late father, who exemplified the love and joy of Christ in his daily life. In God’s providence (and the match-making abilities of some friends), Mike met his wife Brittany at a wedding in Indiana, though he was living in CT and she in Honduras. They were married in 2014 and have a beautiful daughter named Adelyn. The Loosas enjoy traveling and new experiences, and want to see the name of Jesus exalted in worship in Southeastern Connecticut and all over the world.
